RADIO SUBMISSION PROCEDURES
We would love
to hear your music and consider them for future podcasts. You can
now submit to Next Big Hit AND Indie Airplay/Suite 108 with this one
submission!
Please send one
mp3 of your best song (formatted to 128kbs) as an email attachment
to music@nextbighit.com (please
name the song as "artist-title.mp3" so we
can find it easily later. If you can, use iTunes to fill in the appropriate
info for your band, so I know who it is when I load it into iTunes
for listening.)
You
must also include the following information in the text of the email:
1.
Whether or not your song is available on a CD at CD Baby and/or for
sale at iTunes. Please include the links to your page on CD Baby if
available. It is not necessary to have the song for sale at those
places, but preference is given to the artists that do.
2. The
name and genre of the song.
3. The
artist's full name and a BRIEF bio so we can talk about you and hype
you up. Also please list a link to the artist's official website.
Be sure to include where the act is from and the names of all members
of the act.
4. Please
copy and paste the following text into the email for release purposes:
If
you are an Independent artist and control all the rights to your songs
and recordings, copy and paste the following:
I, ______________________________
attest that I control all rights to the attached song, "_________________________".
There are no unlicenced samples, and the song is an original composition
of mine or other writers I have obtained permission for. I hereby
authorize Next Big Hit and Indie Airplay/Suite 108 to utilize this
song in any Podcasts they place on their site. At any time I can send
a written email to music@nextbighit.com stating that I no longer wish
my music to be used in any further podcasts, however I understand
that any Podcasts already in existance that already have used the
song will still continue to be distributed as long as Next Big Hit
and Indie Airplay/Suite 108 chooses.
If
you are an independent or major label, producer, manager, publisher
or another representative for the artist/song/recording, copy and
paste the following:
I, _______________________________,
for __________________________________ attest that I
have obtained all neccesary clearances for "(fill in name
of song)" by (fill in artist name) to be played in
podcasts by Next Big Hit and Indie Airplay/Suite 108. I have obtained
permission from any copyright owners of the song and recording. I
hereby authorize Next Big Hit and Indie Airplay/Suite 108 to utilize
this song in any Podcasts they place on their site. At any time I
can send a written email to music@nextbighit.com stating that I no
longer wish this music to be used in any further podcasts, however
I understand that any Podcasts already in existance that already have
used the song will still continue to be distributed as long as Next
Big Hit and Indie Airplay/Suite 108 chooses.
5. Please list
all songwriters, producers, record label and publishing companies
connected to the song and recording.
6. If
you like you can record a 10-15 second shoutout for us to use in the
program. Be sure to include your band name, city and/or country. Do
one fore each show and mention the name somehow... be creative!
We do listen
to everything we receive, and our format is open to any style of music.
However, we do receive a lot of submissions, so please don't be upset
if we don't contact you... It's not my place to tell someone that
I don't like their music... there are still fans out there awaiting
you. Sometimes I can even overlook contacting someone we use, so we
suggest subscribing to the podcast or checking in frequently! It could
also take a month or two to show up in the podcast depending on the
number of submissions we are getting, so please be patient.
